Getty Center and Work

Went to the Getty Center and listened to some blowhards use big words to describe art. Then I saw a short performance of Indian Classical music (the reason I was there) which was a lot of fun. Also threw in a sketch from my desk at work. Good way to rest your eyes from staring at a computer.

Bunch o Watercolors

Filed under: Uncategorized — madguru @ 3:38 am

Here are a bunch of watercolors from the last two weeks which I had not posted before. The first one is based off a photo online, of Basant in India. Under it is one I did in the hills in Burbank. Below that is a tiny one of Sehwan Sharif in Sindh. On the other side is one of my good friend, Khawar Kashani who took me around Kasur last summer (he’s the guy on the right). Lastly, there is a simple watercolor sketch from a drawing session from last year.

Tired last night, did some quick pose scribbles (some of the top ones are from Phil Hale paintings to warm up, then the bottom poses and final pose are just from my head), then I did this watercolor.
